How to Listen to a Melody

The first solo is Lee Morgan's trumpet solo. It does some cool things that really good jazz solos do and I thought it'd be kind of fun to take it apart. Art Blakey is a pretty straightforward drummer. He doesn't do a whole lot of interacting with the people soloing. But getting into Lee Morgan's solo, he does this huge snare press roll on his snare drum.
