Peter Cruddus Sues the Prime Minister

The judge ruled that the journalists had acted maliciously in attempting to show that he had tried facilitating an illegal donation. Cruddus was not suggesting criminal offences under the bribery act 20 ten. Nevertheless, what he proposed was unacceptable, inappropriate and wrong. The court of appeal upheld the part of the ruling which found that peter cruders didn't try to facilitate a foreign donation - would have been unlawful. But the judges overturned the finding that there was no offer of access for a donation. It said cruddus was effectively saying to the journalists that if they donated large sums to the conservatives, they would have an opportunity to influence government policy.
