I think this happens in our personal lives as well, where if we've lived with some kind of problem for, let's say, five years, we get so used to it. We stop really thinking about it and processing it. I think that can be one of the benefits sometimes of a third party or a friend or a coach or a therapist is just being like, hey, you know the way that you and your wife fight every day? That's not ideal. Maybe you should work on that. And even though it's not nearly as bad as my childhood asthma was, treating that asthma now has significantly improved my breathing and the quality of my life.
