Do You Want a Clean Theory or Not?
A lot of because the culture is increasingly secularized, like people use this language of hard work and they talk about a vocation. I think especially academics do this. Most people are too cynical for that now,. Like imagine talking tolike a hedge fund manager and being like, do you feel like this is a calling? No, just make fuck loads of money. You know, I'm rich, bro. Like my bank account is calling. And we're all like too cynicism for that now, too; it's something that's deployed by management in many ways.
