The Importance of Having a UX Background

Sally Kohn: I feel like UX designers bring so much value to that role of product manager. But at the end of the day, they're one of the central parts of the role is being able to sort of write these spec and communicate them to the dev team. And it sounds like nobody really even blinked an eye at that. She says if you can't have a relationship with your developers and you can't communicate using their language to them, it's going to be hard to be successful.
