Transgender Health Care

Missouri is considering a bill that would prevent doctors from recommending gender care to under 18-year-olds. A psychologist testified against the bill, saying young adults cannot fully comprehend the dramatic and drastic changes ther bodies will undergo if they receive gender affirming medical treatments like puberty blockers and hormon therapies. Some lawmakers have suggested delaying hormone therapy until transgender people are 25 years old.
