David Smith and the Brady and Hindley Murders

David Smith testified as a chief prosecution witness at the trial of Brady and Hindley. He paid a key role in stopping their killings and ensuring they both spent the rest of their lives in prison. It was only 1987 when Hindley finally admitted that David Smith had been telling the truth. These lies meant that David suffered considerable abuse and violence as some felt that he had to have been involved, seen him retaliated by being attacked with knife.
