Music and the City of Detroit

i'm not of a musical family, and i wasn't raised with musical training. But i gro up in an incredibly musical city. I grew up listening to the steve wanderer and the jackson five. So that kind of shaped my musical identity. And then things kind of shifted in detroit around 19 71, 72,. i was 11 years old, and it was became what like it looked at in the iddle of coved in many places os., detroit went through a mass of collapse. It went from full employment, riche class city in the world, to 30 % unemployment. A million people left the city because of white flight. My schools shut down ausa
