"You can change a system from anywhere. You don't actually need positional power," he says. "Even if i'm shifting my part of the pattern, you know what if i decided that the sort of talk i'm going to do outside of meetings is going to be all praise for one another? How does that shift the system around me?" 'It takes a kind of courage and a resolve to break out of the pattern and see if i can coax a new pattern into being,' she adds.
