There's two studies of yours that i saw from quite a while ago one to do with the indirect benefits of mating with attractive males outweighing the direct costs. so effective uh that over optimizing for that emotional connection on the front end because they know that that's the sort of thing that would get them sexual access on the back end yeah very good there's often direct benefits if the male delivers food or protection or help which can raise the number of offspring that the female has.
