Scientists typically work in teams with their students, with others. But a philosophers seem to be notorious for working alone. They don't even work with their students,. It's still weird to me, after all these years. The career incentives are quitea so books and book chapters count for very little in the career of a philosopher. A grants much more to neurous scientists. In my opinion, it's worth it.
