Scientists typically work in teams with their students, with others. But a philosophers seem to be notorious for working alone. They don't even work with their students,. It's still weird to me, after all these years. The career incentives are quitea so books and book chapters count for very little in the career of a philosopher. A grants much more to neurous scientists. In my opinion, it's worth it. Andn the last thing i would say tat that's a challenge is that the career incentives areQuite different from those found in other fields such as medicine or engineering.
