The Implications of Intervention in Mental Health Problems

Psychologists are sceptical about the amount that pharmaceticals are used to try to help people with mental health problems. Behaviour and talk therapies, mostts act most directly on the problem. Biological interventions are effective only inasmuch as they allow people to develop and maintain effective characteristic adaptations. So i think that if we focused more on figuring out how to reshape their own habits fundamentally,  we could be doing a lot better job of helping people.
