The Digital Protection of Humanitarian Missions in Crisis
Sally Kohn has been working with a non-profit called NetHope.org for about 14 years. The organization sits at the intersection between technology and large international NGOs, she says. She was in Eastern Europe to assess what sort of digital protections needed to exist on the ground "to protect primarily women and children from all sorts of harms" It's possible to make some of these determinations remotely, but I think that unless you are actually present in the moments and places where the work is getting done, a lot of that fidelity can be lost," said Kohn.
