Is There a Danger of Prealerting a Dissection?
The danger of prealerting all those patients that you think might have a dissection is that we're going to overwhelm the emergency departments. A lack of pre alert doesn't mean that we can't act in a timely fashion, like we've just talked about. And once it has been identified, then it's time to look at what options are available for treatment.
