The Problem With the Writer's Guild
The problem with the writer's guild is that upper level writers, showrunners, end up making more deals with writers than they have made for them. So you want to fight the man, but sometimes the man is a member of the writer's Guild of America West. This could be a little different now because I think there's a bunch of writers who are companies themselves and I think the development system is broken anyway.
