Old Navy was designed to be like, if you didn't have the cash for Gap or Banana Republic or J. Crew or whatever, you could go there and find some great stuff. The advertising campaign put Old Navy on the map along with great goods and great marketing in a nanosecond. It was then the fastest to a billion dollar apparel company. And still is, I think, a very big chunk of Gap corporations earnings today.
