Asian Beauty Standards

I feel like Asian parents react especially strongly to nose piercings. When the septum piercing was really in for a while, my mom would always be like, Oh my God, people with septum piercings look like cows,. And I'm sure a lot of it was like to discourage me from ever getting it. So I feel like those piercings aren't as common in Asia too. It took some time, but in the end, they're like, yeah, that's just how Sarah wants to express herself and they learn to accept it. This is just kind of the transition for the generation.
