I think the way people think about platform as a concern is starting to solidify a little bit. Companies are moving away from this conception of we have this aspirational model of DevOps. I think what I see in platform engineering is a healthy reembrace of a model in which platform is seen and developer experts generally seen as a first class concern within an enterprise. But rather than being about filing tickets or writing CloudFormation Templates, it's about building a healthy API.
