And our final book that we will be reviewing, probably the best book that I read in the first half of 2022, is Plagues Upon the Earth by Kyle Harper. This is very much like a big history book about the sweep of civilization in human history as told through our diseases. It talks about how these diseases can often swap between one species and another, or they use one species as a host species to infect another species. But the book is good on so many levels, honestly. The biology is very on point. You're never overwhelmed by the biology, but it's just enough"
