Starlink is an elon muss company. They're putting a bunch of satellites in orbit and giving people starlink inter essentially. And i don't know if it's any better than regular in an ot, other than just being accessible in more places. Satellie internet's been like an idea for a while a but those satellites were in what's called geosynchranous orbit - which means that as the earth rotates, the satellite is at a positiona in orbit where it's rotating with the earth. The further something is away, to an enth degree, weaker the signal is.
This week we're back with another special episode! David comes on to lead Marques and Andrew through a discussion about internet for all via Starlink satellites and some of the effects it can have on astronomy and observers of the night sky. It's a big topic but also a fun discussion with plenty of expert interviews.
