Herb Alpert and the T1 of Brass
I don't think there's been like an instrumental act since that's had that level of success. They were like selling out stadiums like without vocals, which is insane. I know zero about Herb Alpert. He played all the horns individually and just lay around. That's crazy. And then he after T1 of brass, they were like wildly successful. After that, he started A&M Records, which became like this massive record label. His dad was a salesman for a lawnmower company. My mom kind of just took care of us when I was a kid,. but then later on she started doing accounting, doing people's taxes. She worked at H&R Block.
