I Love Language and Love the Written Word
I worry that our total dependence upon the written word is creates a barrier between ourselves and the living world. I think we deprive ourselves potentially of these other ways of knowing which are perhaps our our animal gifts but I wouldn't restrict them just to animals either. Fueying B. Dandalayan asks about using different pronouns for non-human people. Tara Shaperski says she has been trying to use different pronouns in in her speaking and her writing in recognition of of non-human others. Waiyan: Can you expand more on these these pronouns uh animacy and in an in-animacy rather than masculine and feminine?
