I'm haunted by the future problems you know you're creating for yourself. I think one of the most important things that you can do to help get something big is to solve the problems people currently have really, really well. The real belief was NPM is for library authors writing libraries for server side JavaScript. It's not really for library developers. If they hadn't focused on library developers first, I don't think they would have gotten the growth because you don't hold applications until the libraries exist. Oh interesting is if you look at an NPM today, first off application builders are the number one users. That haunts me whenever I'm making some of her decisions.
