I don't know that once we caused it, there was a good way out of it other than through it. FDR lied and manipulated the country into getting into World War I by provoking the Japanese. And then he gets put on a pedestal as one of our two or three greatest presidents. But you know, does an 80-year-old German woman in a nursing home in Dresden deserve to be incinerated because she had the bad luck to be born in the wrong place at the wrong time? That's not talking about atomic bombs when he talks about Japan exclusively either.
