What's the Connection Between the Catachon and the Fremen?
Paul and Paul's downfall, in a certain sense, primes the Fremen to accept someone like Lido II. The Catachon is an Australian idea or even just the theological concept of this figure that forestalls the apocalypse. He's the outsider, so to speak. Obviously, he doesn't quite get killed, but it's not a perfect one to one,. But there's some interesting connections to Moses.
