The Importance of Boredom

I think the timeframe was way off. I think it turns out that cultures and civilizations are very stubborn things. And there's a lot of other cultures in the world, which aren't embracing those things. It's going to take time for it to evolve. We lost our tolerance because when you have all the answers, there's no reason to allow a debate or a free marketplace of ideas. That's basically what we're living through is this hubristic form of liberalism where we already know all the answers. There's nothing more to figure out. And we just need to enforce our will.
