You want to be very specific about what happens next. This also counters a good bit of apprehension and clarifies expectations which will build trust in your audience. Do not propose on the first date. You know, if you were going on a blind date in five minutes into the conversation, you asked somebody like, do you want to get married? What would they do? They would run from the restaurant or wherever you were running in terror, right? I have seen this a million times. So that is specifically when you want to engage volunteers who have already been supporting your organization in the past.
