The Giant Magellan Telescope

The gregorian telescope is a sort of a weird construction. You have like a huge primary mirror, but it has a hole in the middle. This corrects for wiggles in the air and temperature variations in the air. And here they have seven thousand coils behind this flexible mirror that can push and pull to adjust its shape.
