The Tyson Chicken Price Fixing Controversy
The Department of Justice decided to step in and investigate the chicken empires for their tendency to screw over not just their laborers, but their customers. Less than a year later, Tyson would try to weasel their way out of the predicament with everyone's favorite pastime, snitching. In January 2021, they agreed to a $221.5 million settlement that was meant to close the various lawsuits that had been brought against them through the course of the scandal. However, and once again, they did not admit to any type of liability.
