Leslie Van Houten's 21st Parole
Leslie Van Houten was denied her 21st parole attempt on June 30th. The governor of California, Jerry Brown, overturned that. He said the reason he overturned it was the aggravated nature of the crime alone can provide a valid basis for denying parole. Even when there is strong evidence of rehabilitation and no other evidence of current dangerousness. So she didn't give a shit. She stabbed people as we'll talk about later.
