Fertilizer Is Not a Long Term Solution

When fungi eat or die a major portion of what's released in either process is nitrogen. As the fungi grow, and again, they grow significantly faster than bacteria, the populations of nitrogen fixing bacteria shrink to make more ammonium available instead of high pH produced nitrates. So this is the tiniest slice of that huge complex system we talk about, like an economy of sorts. All trickling down.
