Lessons From the Mountain and Lessons From the Valley

Part one is lesson from the mountain, and part two is lessons from the valley. What can we learn from being in life's difficulties? First, lessons from the mountain. Lesson one here is the first lesson we learn from this text. We need mountains. Mountains aren't just mountains. They signify something. The way jesus leads the disciples up the mountain means the mountain was a place of pilgrimage, a place of alone with god. Jesus was drawing them away to be with him. It's no coincidence that the disciples got this revelation right after cesarea philippi. This just doesn't, you don't pull this story out of context.
