Fermion is working on a tooling change to make web assembly easier to use for building slack bots. Web assembly can be compiled from any language that you choose so it doesn't have to be written in your native language. It's also faster than traditional serverless tools like Kubernetes or Amazon Lambda because of its fast start up times and things like that. Fermion says they're looking at adding support for other programming languages such as python, cgi-pci and fxproj into the future.
