Melissa: I'm curious if you experience a kind of revitalization for the client where while it's incredibly painful, there's more truth and aliveness to the work than the original. Melissa: In some frameworks of therapy, this is described as recovering coherent narrative. This is the lived truth of their experience that they've pushed away from conscious knowing. And in retrieving it, they feel much more connected to self. They're really grounding in their own emotional truth of life and what they've experienced.
