Stockfish, the leading open source engine has incorporated neural network technology. There's also something called Leila chess zero which is based on Google stuff inspired by that. And they're both incredibly good and they're both kind of jicking it up. But it was really fascinating how neural networks changed things. For the first time we didn't understand what the evaluation function was.
