The History of Western Philosophy
I chose people who i think are key figures, are interesting or amenable to that kind of short introduction without completely obscuring what they were doing. I was looking for something which had a little bit of a biographical hook or a contextal hook, but also an idea or two that i could explain of theirs within a few pages. Some philosophers would suit that better than others. But the idea was that in the forty chapters, i would cover a lot of ground and entice people into the subject, not kill it for them. And i was interested to see that there's only one philosopher who merits two chapters. Can you remember who is? I suspect that's kant....
