Muir and Johnson in Yosemite Valley

John Muir took John Johnson to Yosemite Valley 20 years after he first woke up in the Sierra Nevada mountains. The two of them go out into Twalamy Meadows because Muir wants to show him the wilds there. As they're approaching the valley, they see heaps of garbage have been left behind by miners and shepherds. Some tourist houses are built in shabby ways; others cut down trees and erected hog pens.
