Brad is diagnosed with multiple personality disorder, MPD. Dr. Hamlin says this is due to ritualistic sexual abuse that Brad underwent as a child. This sort of shocked me when we were first reading through this because I was like, wait, he's diagnosing him with having DID and being an abuser at the same time.
