Is Abortion a Sin?

Just because the church changes punishments for sins, it doesn't follow it changed its teaching that something is or is not a sin. The penances in the early church were really brutal. And thoseof those have changed over time. But the sins are still sins. Abortion was a sin in the first century at any stage,. just as it is a sin to day at any stage. A developed as canon law itself developed, but the teaching itself never changed.
