An intervention is defined by the theory it's practiced under. An EMDR therapist will know what I'm referring to and they'll potentially be angry that I forgot. MDR therapists are being empathic, but I don't know if an EMDR therapist would think of empathy on the same level as the shoebox intervention or the, what's it called?
