The Motive for Saying We Saw Jesus Rise From the Dead

If we were to unwind time and look at the men and women who are presenting this claim to us that they saw Jesus raised from the dead, the question is what was their motivation? Why would they say these things? The scripture doesn't paint a rose-colored version of the heroes of the faith. It shows us the real account of their life. And as a result, these people were willing to be beaten and imprisoned, tortured and killed for saying that we saw Jesus rise from the dead.
