The Challenges of Future Planning in the Air Force

In 2017, we actually redefined air superiority as the degree of control of the air that allows you to execute operations without prohibitive interference from air and missile threats. To do ACE, I need to buy stuff from multiple different pieces of the eight puzzle. There's passive measures and shelters and there's tool sets that I need to have like on little islands pre positioned and ready for me to do this so that I need a lot of things in a lot of different places. It's part of the checks and balances of government. It's the cost that we pay for the society we live in.
