In episode four, we're going to talk about a queer organization called Star. It was mostly for middle-class folks, predominantly white but with very explicit racial inclusion. Several of the founders left when they shifted away from their original purpose. They held the first lesbian convention in the US, though cops came and made sure no one was cross-dressing.
