The Irony of Chinese Socialism
Chinese socialism has been so effective that it's basically forcing the US to implement socialistic policies, says Julian Zelizer. The golden era of capitalism in the 50s, 60s and 70s when unions were very strong was a result of an agreement between capital and labor: prosperity for workers but no socialist revolution. Today we still see a kind of zombie neoliberalism; at least that's what the Democrats claim they want, although they're not actually implementing it.
