How to Tease Out the Economic Optimism

When people get access to cable TV, and when you watch soap operas, it actually decreases their fertility. So I think that looks like a very strong driver of life. In the short term, when we see a recession, we tend to see declines in fertility. That sort of suggests that when people are less optimistic and maybe things are more complicated economically, that that's a time if you will choose to delay.
