The Role of Open Source Intelligence in Special Operations
Open source intelligence has to have four main elements. It must be derived from information that's freely or commercially available to all. Secondly, it has to be derived from legal and ethical sources and techniques. And then in common with the other forms of intelligence, it's got to be applied to a specific problem set or requirement. So for me, Sean, let's focus in around that human focus, that intent piece, and particularly the dynamic between the shareability, time sensitivity and the veracity piece.
