Boiler Feed Pumps and Check Valves
Every boiler feed pump must have at least two check valves. A check valve is a small swinging gate valve usually contained in a pipe. When water is flowing in one direction the valve will automatically open to let the water pass. While if water should be forced in the other direction, the valve will close tight and prevent the water from passing.
