How Do You Gather Intelligence When You're Plastered?

In the mornings you bathe in a cold stream, and then it was still four or five hours before pubs opened. That was where we did our work. Eric and i would be in the pub one in particular, where smiles hung out. Afternoons and evenings were drinking and gathering intelligence. Most of the time i've always been able to use a lot of alcohol. And then later, as we were under cover, drugs were involved as well.
