How Did the Grass Roots Movement Support the State?

The grass roots movement actually supported what was done by the opposition and the judiciary. The main demand from these movements was that, you know, the right to know is the right to live. And so i think the framing of this movement was so very important. But had the state thinking not moved in a favorable direction, they would have dealt with the same social movement differently.
