The Tennessee Valley Authority was created during the Great Depression. It aimed to bring affordable, reliable energy to a part of the US where not everyone had it. The agency's slogan was electricity for all. By 1934, just one year in, the TVI had hired more than 9,000 people and built 16 hydroelectric dams.
Reporter Dharna Noor learns about the Tennessee Valley Authority: the good, the bad, the past, and the future.
This is the 5th episode of The Dig Presents.
